This year is very different for us in more ways than just the COVID19 problems, as if that wasn’t enough!

After 2 years of negotiations we have purchased a plot of land, with canal frontage, on which we intend to build a house. We had always thought that this would be the ideal situation and were so pleased to find a plot in a lovely village on the Grand Union Canal near leamington Spa.

For The Glass Barge this will mean that we will not be doing so much trading while the build in is progress. But as the events we had booked this year were cancelled due to COVID, and social distancing is not possible in the gallery on our boat, it has turned out to be a lucky coincidence for us.

I will try to post pictures of the progress on the build as we go. Currently we are waiting for a decision on an alteration to the planning consent. This is just the last in a whole series of delays and problems, so we are no longer planning specific dates that things will happen!
